Pael comes home to fight Pusta-A A +A

AFTER a year, unbeaten local hero Rajah Renoel Pael returns to his hometown as he takes on fellow promising boxer Raul Pusta in a 10-round fight at the Siquijor Capital Square.
The 22-year-old Pael last fought in his hometown a year ago and won a unanimous decision over Arlon Batingal.
Pael, the Buhay Boksingero tournament flyweight winner, faces one of his toughest opponents in Pusta.
The 26-year-old Pusta fought for regional titles twice. In his last fight, Pusta faced Thai up-and-comer Wanheng Menayothin and was stopped in the ninth round.
Pael, meantime, scored a unanimous decision over Ryan Bongcawil in his last fight in March.
Pael is 11-0-1 with four knockouts, while Pusta is 8-2-2 with two knockouts.
Undefeated 18-year-old Ardie Boyose (7-0-1, 4 KOs) slugs it out with Jessie Tuyor (6-11-4, 3 KOs) in a 10-round main supporting bout.
In the undercard, Gerpaul Valero (15-14-3, 10 KOs) trades leathers with Jomar Ministerio (5-5-1, 2 KOs); 19-year-old Neil John Tabanao (4-0, 3 KOs) will be tested against journeyman Elmar Francisco (16-19-2, 4 KOs); Joey Canoy (3-0, 2 KOs) faces off with Jherad Tuyor (2-14, 1 KO); Bryan Samson (3-3, 1 KO) is up against Darius Elorde (1-1, 1 KO); and Melmark Dignos takes on Jeyseber Abcede.
