Paypa wins in Balamban-A A +A

JIMMY Paypa outclassed fellow prospect Jason Redondo for his 12th straight win the other night at the Balamban Sports Complex.
The 20-year-old up-and-comer from the famed ALA Gym scored a one-sided unanimous decision victory over Redondo.
Paypa dropped Redondo in the fourth. Paypa was deducted a point in the sixth for repeated low blows.
All three judges had Paypa winning with scores of 99-89, 99-89 and 98-90.
Paypa improved to 14-2 with four knockouts, while the 19-year-old Redondo suffered his second career defeat and dropped to 7-2-1 with six knockouts.
Comedic boxer Jun Intor (23-11-8, 8 KOs) settled to a technical draw with Nelson Sandal (0-1-1) after the former suffered huge cut in the event’s special attraction.
In the undercard, Japanese Yosuke Miyagawa (1-1) won a majority decision against Crispin Parba (6-7, 3 KOs); Kim Galon (3-0, 2 KOs) remained unbeaten with a unanimous decision against Marlon Talili (5-8, 2 KOs); Raul Yu (3-0, 3 KOs) ended the night of Ritchel Rosales (0-3) in the second round; and Jeo Santisima (1-1) captured his first career victory with a unanimous decision over Japanese Takaomi Naoma (1-3).
