Beboso rules Hearts Day run-A A +A

RAFAEL Pescos and Mary Jane Beboso won the men’s and women’s 15K open in the World Hearts Day Fun Run yesterday at the Parkmall, Mandaue City.
Over 1,000 runners joined yesterday’s run, which was held to celebrate the World Hearts Day. It was organized by the Philippine Heart Association led by Dr. Wilfredo Ypil, Dr. Rosan Trani, Dr. Alex Junia, Dr. Robert Paul Cantoy and Dr. Mike Taboloc.
Pescos ruled the men’s open in 51:50 and he was followed by Reiz Enriquez in 53:56.
Robert Daang got third place in 56:50. In the women’s event, Beboso won the title in 1:08:19, beating Mercis Ramirez (1:10:02) and Emily Erocao (1:21:19).
In the MD division, Vincent Lorenzo Cabahug and Faith Hamoy won the men’s and women’s 15K.
Cabahug topped the men’s division in 1:21:44, beating Benjamin Villaplaza (1:22:04) and Dorovan Jabines (1:24:54). Hamoy got her title in 1:30:19, while Lalaine Sacris (1:34:36) and Cherie Lee Apiag (1:41:48) got the second and third places, respectively.
In the 6K open division, Bonifacio Monjas won the men’s title in 22:43, beating Joe Wacan (24:01) and Brendy Codera (24:21). Kisha Mae Delechos got the women’s crown in 28:06 over Carla Cosep (28:09) and Lynle Cardinas (28:40).
Harem Deipareni ruled the men’s 6K MD division in 29:56, while Melchie Gauder topped the Pharma division in 35:40.
In the 3K, Lorenzo Cabagi and Maria Eliza Zosa won the men’s and women’s title.
