Run for breast cancer awareness set-A A +A

TO draw more awareness about breast cancer, the Philippine College of Surgeons Central Visayas Chapter and Philippine Society of General Surgeons Cebu Chapter eye attracting over 800 runners in the 7th edition of the Pink October Run slated on Oct. 20 at the Ayala Center Cebu Mall.
According to Dr. Peter Mancao, last year, they were able to draw more than 600 participants and this year they hope they can attract more participants.
“This is also a nationwide activity of the Philippine Society of General Surgeons, which is an advocacy run for breast cancer awareness. There will be a run not only Visayas but as well in Luzon and Mindanao, ” said Mancao.
This is the first time that the race will not be using plastic cups in every water stations and encourages all participants to bring their own hydration packs.
The race features running through the Cebu Business Park and includes a men’s and women’s 12K, 6K and 3K distance run.
All the three divisions will have the same registration fee of P300 including one adult size race singlet.
The registration will be at Pink October Run Booth at the Ayala Active Zone. The last day of registration will be on Oct. 19.
