MANILA—Top seed Petron Blaze tries to sweep the best-of-five semifinal series when they face Rain or Shine in Game 3 of the 2013 PBA Governors Cup at the Cuneta Astrodome today.
The Blaze Boosters took a commanding 2-0 lead following a 90-88 win in the second game last Wednesday. They also won Game 1, 91-83, last Monday.
Despite the comfortable advantage, Petron coach Gee Abanilla warned his wards of complacency, saying they could not take the Elasto Painters lightly as they are capable of bouncing back.
“Our chance of winning the series is high now. But Rain or Shine might come back. Complacency is now our enemy, if we can do the right thing, we are going to make it,” said Abanilla.
Abanilla will rely heavily on import Elijah Millsap and 6’10 Cebuano center June Mar Fajardo, who finished with 26 points and hauled down 14 rebounds.
