Tabal bags third crown in three weeks-A A +A

ANOTHER run and it’s another first-place finish for Mary Joy Tabal, this time in the
21K division of the Cebu leg of the One Run, One Philippines.
Tabal, who won the Cebu qualifiers of the Milo Marathon in 1:24:48, finished the 21K in 1:25:52 for her runaway finish. Though it wasn’t as fast as her time in the Milo event, she still dominated as second placer Mereeis Ramirez finished it in 1:36:21, almost nine minutes behind Tabal, whose time was also good enough to make the top 10 in the men’s division.
Christy Sevilleno got third place in 1:39:27, while Sandra Sollano got fourth place in 1:40:26. The rest of the top 10 runners are Jinggay Lugay (1:51:51), Vergita Soco (1:57:10), Joy Postanes (2:02:41), Helen Dionson 2:02:53), Patricia Tumulak (2:03:32) and Rosalinda Cosino (2:05:23).
In the men’s division, Abraham Missos captured the crown in an impressive 1:12:46, 27 seconds clear of second placer Isaac Simat. Rafael Piscos got third in 1:14:46, while Robert Daang finished fourth in 1:19:06. Joland Olmilla was at fifth in 1:20:44. The rest of the top 10 runners are Jiboy Magbulugtong (1:21:34), Joseph Emia (1:22:53), Peter Canumay (1:24:23), Vincent Badajos (1:24:23) and James Mebel (1:26:06).
In the 10K, the Andrin sisters also had a close battle for the top spot, while Francis Kakui posted a dominant win. Lovely got the title in 45:34, less than a second ahead of sister Jhean, while Sarale Cuizon was a distant third placer in 49:53. Others who made the top 10 were Tessie Escasinas, Maylen Conde, Glenell Fuller, Aurora Candido, Ma. Lerio Umulan, Aiza Mabini and Flor Guadalquiver.
In the men’s division, Kakui was the lone runner to break the 40-minute barrier in 35:53, while Juneil Narciso got second in 41:37 and John Balaga got third place in 41:38.
