Ex-UC star wins MVP, Rookie titles in E-League-A A +A

ACCENTURE Shark’s feisty forward Archie Batua became the second Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player awardee of the CCSC E-League after Sylvester Millevo of Stream Ingenyouity achieved the feat in 2011.
E-League organizers said the awarding rites will be held in Game 2 of the E-League Finals this weekend.
Batua, a former member of the University of Cebu Webmasters back-to-back Cesafi title runs, was a runaway choice for the Rookie of the Year award. He bested Millevo for the MVP title after the latter’s team was booted by Aegis Vipers in the conference finals.
Batua also won the Southern Conference MVP title, while Millevo bagged the Northern Conference MVP plum.
Aside from the ROY/MVP award, Batua also leads the Mythical 5 Selection and was also the league’s top rebounder with a 9.60 rebounds per game.
Joining Batua in the 2013 Mythical Five team are Ryan Veloso of Aegis, Franco Angelo Cipriano of Lexmark Stallions, Ryan Edward Llanos also Accenture and Millevo.
The other statistical champions includes blocks leader Robert Gilo of Eperformax Reds (2.67 bpg), assists champion Giovanni Villahermosa of Lexmark (4.4), scoring king Clifford Amarado of Telstra/Teletech Titans (23.57) and steals leader Christian Judilla of Calltek Trojans (2.9).
