As Cesafi cancels, UV steps up, hosts benefit game-A A +A

THE Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) 2013 champions University of the Visayas Green Lancers will hold a benefit game, which will be dubbed “Play and Share,” for the earthquake survivors in Bohol at the Bonifacio R. Bacaltos Sports Centrum in Poblacion, Sibonga, tonight.
This, after the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) announced the cancellation of its proposed charity game, which was also scheduled for today at the Cebu Coliseum.
UV will play the Tagum City-based CM Farm, which is owned by Verginia Allones and Mario Bantillan.
This charity game is supported by Cebu first district congressman and UV Green Lancers team manager Sam-Sam Gullas and the municipality of Sibonga headed by Mayor Leonil Bacaltos, and its proceeds will go to the earthquake survivors of Bohol Province particularly to the residents of Tubodaku in the municipality of Loon.
