SWU sweeps matches in Cesafi beach volleyball Day 1-A A +A

THE Southwestern University’s teams went undefeated in the elimination round of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. beach volleyball competition at their own court.
The boys team defeated the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) Panthers, 21-19, 21-16, and Cebu Institute of Technology University (CIT-U) Wildcats, 21-8, 21-10.
On the other hand, the girls team swept their matches against the (University of San Jose-Recoletos) USJ-R Jaguars, 21-11, 21-12, and 21-13, 21-16, and also beat USPF, 21-10, 21-18.
SWU’s Royet Varga, who said it was his first time to play said, “We have a very nice teamwork but there are times that we don’t agree with each other.
The Cobras boys team will face either USJ-R or the University of the Visayas Green Lancers for a spot to the quarterfinal round.

The last games of the eliminations will continue today as it was postponed yesterday due to time constraint. The elimination games yesterday started at 7:30 a.m and ended at 6 p.m.
