AFTER regaining the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. men’s beach volleyball title, the University of the Visayas (UV) will now be aiming for the Private Schools Athletic Association national title next year.
UV, represented by Mike Abria and Mark Anthony Fernandez, survived the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF), 17-21, 21-19, 15-13, to win the men’s title last Sunday.
“The two has shown impressive performances during the whole duration of the tournament. We will be doubling our efforts because we are not only preparing for the Prisaa but the upcoming National Nestea Beach Volleyball in Boracay, where we are gunning for a grand slam,” said Briones.
During the game, UV lost the first set to Edmar Bonono, John Ylanan and Left John Tormis but came back strong in the second and third sets.
