2 runs for Yolanda survivors set-A A +A

TWO running events to hit the road this weekend with one common cause to help the Yolanda/Haiyan survivors.
Starting this morning with the Ignatian Hero Run “Let them know it’s Christmas time” at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo De Cebu Campus in Canduman, Mandaue City. The run, which expects more than 1,000 runners, is organized by the silver jubilarian batch 1988 of the SHS-Ateneo de Cebu in cooperation with the SHS-ADC Alumni association and the Sacred Heart School Parents-Teachers Association.
The run features a men’s and women’s 3K, 5K and 10K run with the first 1,000 registrants getting a free singlet. Finishers’ medals will be given to the first 50 finishers in each category.
The other run will be the Alphan’s Run II “Run for the victims of super typhoon Yolanda” tomorrow at the Ayala Terrace of Cebu.
It is organized by the Alpha Sigma Phi Philippines International Collegiate Service Organization, Inc.-Cebu Alumni Association with the hopes of raising funds to buy construction materials as well as tents to be given to the 200 families in Maya in Daan Bantayan, Cebu.
It features a men’s and women’s 3K, 6K and 2K runs and dangles around P25,000 worth of cash prizes.
