Omega gym boxers win 3 matches in Gen. Santos-A A +A

OMEGA Boxing Gym went three out of four last Saturday night in Gen. Santos City.
Former amateur standout Jack Tepora, Jhaleel Payao and Charlie Pucdol logged wins for the Cebu-based boxing stable. Jordan Catuday, however, dropped his fight.
Tepora (9-0, 5 KOs) remained unbeaten with a unanimous decision win over Alvin Makiling (9-8-3, 2 KOs). Payao (7-0, 5 KOs) also retained his unbeaten status with a fourth round stoppage over journeyman Sherwin Lungay (7-25-2). Pucdol (5-2, 4 KOs) stopped Jonathan Lozada (0-1) in the third round.
Catubay (5-2-1, 2 KOs), on the other hand, was knocked out by Johny Gemino (10-2, 4 KOs) in the second round.
Tepora, Payao, Pucdol and Catubay are some of the most promising prospects of the Omega Boxing Gym, which is also the home of International Boxing Federation (IBF) light flyweight king Johnriel Casimero.
Cebu-based boxer Gerpaul Valero (16-14-3, 10 KOs) defeated journeyman Richard Garcia (25-17-1, 7 KOs) by unanimous decision.
In the main event of the MP Promotions promoted event, Jerwin Ancajas (18-1-1, 10 KOs) scored a second round technical knockout win over Ryan Bongcawil (7-8-5, 3 KOs).
Manny Pacquiao’s nephew Jonel Dapidran (2-0) won by unanimous decision against Avelino Ramos (2-3).
