CEBU’S top motocross rider Jon-Jon Adlawan will push his game to the limit as he seeks to steal the Rider of the Year title from the country’s No.1 daredevil Glenn Aguilar as the Kopiko Astig 3-inOne Supercross Series 2013 ends with a bang with its final leg this weekend at the South Road Properties.
Adlawan is trailing by 24 points to Aguilar after 10 legs in the highest race division – the Pro Open Category.
The overall champion in the Pro Open race will be declared the ROY.
Aguilar has a total 442 points, earned after winning five legs, while Adlawan has 418 points.
However, Adlawan needed to win the two heats to earn an additional 50 points, while hoping that Aguilar won’t score beyond 24 points.
Aside from the Pro Open race, their rivalry is extended to the Pro Lite category, where Aguilar is enjoying a comfortable 41-point lead over Adlawan, 456-415.
Davao-native Rhowell “Burnok” Mangusong IV however might play spoiler to Adlawan’s quests.
Mangusong is at third place in both categories, trailing by 33 and 20 points in the Pro Open and Pro Lite divisions respectively with 385 and 395 points.
