Make or break for Adlawan in Supercross final leg-A A +A
Saturday, December 21, 2013
IT would be a make or break day for Cebuano daredevil Jon Jon Adlawan as he seeks to snatch the Rider of the Year title from the country’s no.1 rider Glenn Aguilar in the Kopiko Astig 3-inOne Supercross Series 2013’s 11th and final leg, which will go full blast today at the South Road Properties.
This Man and Machine Racing Promotion year-round motocross series is expected to end with a bang despite a very challenging course that has been made more difficult by the intermittent drizzles since Friday afternoon.
In yesterday’s first heat in the other closely competed Pro Lite category, the top three riders got a good warm up for today’s grueling Pro Open race.
Davaoueño Rhowell Burnok Mangusong earned 25 more points for finishing first in the Pro Lite first heat, Hungarian Decsi Balaz earned 22 points for placing second, Adlawan added 20 points for placing third and Aguilar got 18 for finishing fourth.
Currently, Aguilar is leading in both divisions but he is holding a shaky 24-point lead over Adlawan in the Pro Open race, the category that will determine the winner of the most coveted Rider of the Year award in the race that is supported by Kopiko Astig 3-inOne, Monolith Construction and Development Corp, Alcordo Advertising, Nature Spring, SugButel, Deco Sales, Dans Bike, Lenovo Mobiles and Win Radio 107.5.
