Two-day Prisaa regional meet opens today

EVERYTHING is set for the Private Schools Athletic Association (Prisaa) Regional Meet opening ceremony, which will start at 8 a.m. at the University of San Carlos-Main Gym.

According to University of Cebu (UC) athletics director Bernard Ricablanca, the athletes coming from Bohol and Dumaguete have arrived and are ready to compete in the two-day multi-event meet.

Prisaa-Cebu will be banking on its athletics team, which will be represented by athletes from USC, UC, Southwestern University (SWU) and University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF).

The beach volleyball women’s team will be represented by Therese Rae Ramas, Floremel Rodriguez of SWU and Rochelle Rica and Dian Padillo of USPF. The men’s team will be powered by the University of the Visayas (UV) Joseph Noval and Mark Anthony Fernandez and USPF’s Edmar Bonono.

Cebu will also be fielding athletes in chess, lawn tennis, swimming, table tennis, volleyball, badminton, karatedo, taekwondo and football.
