PHILLIPINE Youth team head coach Jamike Jarin is putting his faith on Cebuano players in forming the team that will go to international basketball tournaments.

The Philippine U-17 team will be seeing action in the Fiba World U-17 Championship for Men in Dubai on June 28 to July 6. Jarin kept Arnie Padilla and Andres Paul Desiderio in the team that is grouped with the defending champions United States of America.

“Right now we are busy preparing for the Fiba World U-17 Championship which will be held in Dubai. We are bracketed with world powerhouse teams that includes USA, the defending champions, Greece and Angola in Bracket A,” Jarin told Sun.Star Cebu.
