Mulatto douses Fuegos, 15-11, in Ceboom-A A +A

TEAM Mulatto of Davao City beat Faso Fuego of Cebu, 15-11, in the finals, and was proclaimed Pool A champion in the second edition of Ceboom 2014 last April 4 to 6 at the Cebu City Sports Complex.
The three-day invitational frisbee tournament is dubbed as one of the biggest in the country. This year, 24 teams from Philippines and Singapore competed. This is twice the number of participants in 2012.
One of Ceboom organizers Darleen Hopkirk said they planned to do this during summer.
“This is one of the first provincial tournament, which is participated by a team from Singapore. We are hopeful to do this again in April next year, but we are not quite sure if we can do this annually,” she said.
Thunderclap from Cebu held the second runner-up plum to complete the pool A winners.
Team Freakshow from Singapore was declared champions in Pool B, while Team Uranus finished as first runner-up, followed by COG from Dumaguate took second runner-up honor.
In Pool C, Nayagak of Cagayan de Oro cruised in as champions, while team Sandugo from Bohol and Bitag of Manila won the first and second runner-up, respectively.
Freakshow was awarded the most spirited team, while both members of Mulatto, Antonio Francisco and MaiMai Dublin, won as tournament MVP’s in the male and female categories.
Jason Mangas of UTI was awarded for most blocks under male, while Leslie Sim was name outstanding female blocker.
Jayson Alcarez won the most assists award under male, while Dublin was also hailed as best woman passer.
John Paul Bade and Syrrel Solamo scored the most in the tournament. (RSC)
