Region 7 wins tennis golds in Prisaa-A A +A

THE men’s and women’s tennis teams of Region 7 captured gold medals in the third day of action of the Private Schools Athletic Association (Prisaa) national finals at the Davao del Norte Sports and Tourism Complex.
The men’s team composed of University of San Jose-Recoletos’s RJ Abarquez, University of the Visayas’s (UV) Marc Norman Enriquez and Janel Troy Pintor, University of San Carlos’s (USC) Fritz Satera and Bernardine Nino Siso and Janel Castro from Bohol beat Davao for the title.
The women’s team is composed of USC’s Sally Mae and SallyDine Siso, Keziah Jabines and UV’s Juvy Barquin, who defeated Region 6 in the final.
In volleyball, the USJ-R men’s team continued to win games, defeating Caraga Region, 25-9, 25-15,25-17 to advance in the quarterfinals. The women’s team from Southwestern University (SWU) also advanced to the quarterfinals after beating Region 12, 25-15, 25-15, 25-13.
In beach volleyball, the men’s Region 7 team composed of Mark Anthony Fernandez of UV, USPF Edmar Bonono and SWU Rommel Pepito scored two wins, while the women’s squad scored one win.
