Aside from the grassroots training program, which was held in cooperation with the Cebu City Government, the Philippine Sports Commission and the Department of Education Cebu City, CCSC is also holding the Guinness Book of World Record attempt for the biggest archery competition dry run today in Labangon Elementary School that will be participated by the top four finishers of the 12 schools, which have completed their school-level tournaments.
This year, CCSC has added four new events – indoor football or futsal, karatedo, taekwondo, and weightlifting to the regular events such as arnis, archery, badminton, chess, dancesports, softball/baseball, table tennis, track and field, boxing and volleyball.
Basketball is also available, which the commission is expecting to be the top drawer, while judo is included in selected areas.
