High school rivals face off in FilOil Premier Cup Cebu leg-A A +A

CEBU City’s top high school squads will take the FilOil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup 2014 stage in the Cebu Leg that will start this Wednesday at the Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Complex (MCSCC) and will end on May 25 at the Lapu-Lapu City Hoops Dome.
Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) champions Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu Magis Eagles, 2010 kings Cebu Eastern College Dragons and emerging power University of San Carlos Baby Warriors will see action in the preliminary exhibition matches.
The Britt Reroma-mentored Baby Warriors will face the Dragons at 5 p.m. and that will be followed by the 7 p.m. showdown between the USC Warriors and the Southwestern University Cobras on May 21.
The Dragons will then face the Magis Eagles two hours before the Cobras play archrivals University of the Visayas Green Lancers at 7p.m. still at the MCSCC.
The collegiate games are part of the elimination round of the Premier Cup which started last April 30 in San Juan City.
SWU is the only unbeaten team (2-0) in the 7-team Bracket A, which has the two Cebu schools USC Green and Gold Warriors (1-2) and UV Green Lancers (0-3), UAAP champions De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Archers (1-1), defending champion University of the East (UE) Red Warriors (1-2), University of Perpetual Help System Dalta (UPHSD) Altas (3-1) and Jose Rizal University (JRU) Heavy Bombers (3-2)
DLSU and UE will be coming to play the three Cebu teams starting this Friday at MCSCC with the battles of the Warriors at 5 p.m. to be followed by the games between the Archers and the Lancers at 7 pm.
Tickets are now available at SM Cinema ticket booths in SM City-Cebu and SM City Consolacion.
