WITH no opponent scheduled yet for Nonito Donaire Jr.’s ring return later this year, WBA featherweight champion Nicholas Walters says he is willing to fight the Filipino Flash.

“He has to fear me. I’m fresher, bigger, more powerful, a natural featherweight…and I’m so damn hungry. I’m challenging you, Nonito. The Axman is going to chop you down.

I want to fight you so bad. Let’s get it on, Nonito!,” Walters told Fightnews.com.

Both Donaire Jr. and Walters fought on the same card last March 31 in Macau. Walters demolished Vic Darchinyan in five rounds, while Donaire Jr. walked away with a fifth-round technical decision win over Simpiwe Vetyeka following a clash of heads.

“I was not overly impressed by Nonito. His South African opponent (Simpiwe Vetyeka)was too complacent, showed too much respect. That would not be my case. The fight was stopped in the fourth round and went to the cards, maybe it was a lucky break for Nonito,” said Walters.
