CEBU -- The Cobra Ironman 70.3 Philippines is all set for its biggest staging in six years, as it unfolds with 2,500 local and foreign triathletes from 40 countries today, Sunday at Shangri-La Mactan Resort and Spa in Lapu-Lapu City.

This year marks its third staging in Cebu and the sixth in the Philippines. The first three was held in Camarines Sur. With the aim to improve every year, the organizers have started preparing for the event months ahead of schedule.

The event covers a 1.9-kilometer swim, 90K bike, and a 21K run.
