UNBEATEN Omega Boxing Gym stalwarts Jack Tepora and Christian Araneta showcase their talents this weekend in Davao City.

The 19-year-old Jack faces Michael Escobia, while Araneta takes on undefeated Melmark Dignos this Saturday night in the undercard of MP Promotions’ Tibay ng Pinoy 4, at the Almendras Gym.

“I’m expecting great fights because they have tough opponents. Jack and Araneta have also trained really hard for their fights,” said Jack’s older brother and trainer Christopher “Ping-Ping” Tepora.

Since his debut in 2012, Jack has had an impressive transition to the pro game. He has won his first title, the Asia-Pacific super bantamweight belt of the lesser-known World Boxing Federation, with a 10th round stoppage over Joas Apericio in his first bout of the year.

Jack is looking to impress Pacquiao, who is going to watch the event, for a possible shot at fighting in the Filipino superstar’s undercard in the future. Pacquiao has shown interest in Jack and even invited him in his training camp in Gen. Santos City for his fight with Brandon Rios last year.

Jack is 10-0 with six knockouts, while the 23-year-old Escobia is 10-7-1 with two knockouts.
