NATIONAL duathlon team member Joland Olmilla sets his sights on a sweep of the 8080 Triathlon when the third and final leg of the triathlon series hits San Remegio next month. The event will be held at the Lapyahan Beach Resort.
Olimilla is looking to score a grand slam after winning the legs in Baybay, Leyte and in Sogod in Northern Cebu.
“I hope I can win the San Remegio leg so I can get the grandslam. I’m now training for this race,” said Olmilla.
Aside from the individual title in the 8080 event, also up for grabs in the final leg are titles in the 8080 relay, 4040 individual and relay events and the team challenge.
The 8080 distance covers 1.9-kilometer swim, 65K bike and 14K run; while the 4040 distance features 900-meter swim, 32.5K bike and 7K run.
