ARDIE Boyose will take on journeyman Rodel Wenceslao in Anda, Bohol on Jan. 7.
The 22-year-old Boyose is on a comeback trail after suffering the first defeat of his career, a fourth round technical knockout in the hands of Russian Rustam Nugaev. Following a layoff of close to a year, Boyose bounced back with a morale-boosting fifth-round stoppage of Jhun Ryan Quimbo.
Wenceslao hasn’t won a fight in over a year since a first-round knockout of Chinese Kun Wang. He has lost five straight fights against Adones Cabalquinto, twice, Adones Aguelo, Horoki Okada and world-ranked Al Rivera.
Boyose, who trains out of the RWS Gym, is 18-1-2 with 14 knockouts, while Wenceslao is 11-16-1 with four knockouts. (EKA)
