A TOTAL team effort that includes the players, coaches, parents and the school was credited with Don Bosco Technology Center’s (DBTC) recent success in grassroots football.

“That’s the result of the DBTC continuity program. Both players and coaches are doing a good job. The approach and dedication in our training practices are more focused on the technical and playing system. The most important is the support from the parents and the school administration, the Salesians,” said decorated DBTC coach Glen Ramos.

DBTC bagged two grassroots titles over the weekend, with its Under-7 and Under-9 team taking home trophies in the ongoing Aboitiz Football Cup.

DBTC D beat defending champion Giuseppe FC, 1-0, in the Under-7 diviision finals at the Campo Giuseppe FC pitch. DBTC A also beat Giuseppe FC with a similar 1-0 scoreline in the Under-9 division championship match.

“The support coming from the parents, coach Glen and other coaches, and the school facilities is a big help. The players’ commitment during practices helped a lot in developing their skills. But sometimes, kids are kids,” said Under-7 head coach Ray Calo.

DBTC D is composed of Under-7 MVP John Rhyle Cañarias, Best Defender Matthew Codee Caldoza, Ken Abarquez, Zack Zien Crodua, Miguel Luis Domingo, Emmanuelle Wain Carlo Felices, Shinichiro Garneth Hanzawa, Jethro Jyn Lopez and Alaine Gabriel Sario.

Under-9 champion DBTC A, mentored by Claudeth Plaza, comprises MVP Ryko Zedric Abella, Golden Boot awardee Aldous Gabriel Tabar, Best Midfielder Voughn Gabriel Zapanta, Andre Raphael Bering, Shann Anthony Calo, Stephen Marq Cantago, Joseph Roy Requiron, Richie Craig Sabacajan, Lourd Audi Dejos, Edgar Paredes IV, Wayne Avril Pasco and Theo Maxim Santiago.
