Omega’s unbeaten prospects see action in Naga

Sunday, December 17, 2017

JUST before the holidays, four of Omega Boxing Gym’s young unbeaten prospects are seeing action in Naga City.

Tomjune Mangubat, Mark Vicelles, Marjun Piencenaves, and Cris Furog are all fighting in the “Engkwetro dinhi sa Naga” boxing show on Dec. 23 at the Enan Chiong Activity Center.

The 20-year-old Mangubat will slug it out with replacement Jhun Ryan Quimbo in a scheduled eight-rounder.

Mangubat has been one of the more promising young faces in the Omega Boxing Gym. Since his pro debut just two years ago, Mangubat has been on a tear, knocking out all of his eight opponents, of whom none went past the third round.

Mangubat has won both of his fights this year, knocking out both former Pan Asian Boxing Association (PABA) light flyweight champion Marvin Tampus and Crisanto Contemprato in a single round. (EKA)
