TWO-TIME defending champion Panthers extended a win streak to 21 games after a convincing 65-53 victory over Wolves in the Elite Basketball Club-Cebu Season 11 at the Visayas Glass Gym in Guadalupe, Cebu City.
The Panthers haven’t yielded a single game since Season 9 and continued to put on a tear after Week 2 of Season 11 last Sunday, as they hunt for a third straight title.
Paul Salarda led the Panthers in their second win this season with 14 points, Mark Panerio added 11, and team captain Neil Buot handed in eight.
Meanwhile, Joirene Salcedo lifted the Falcons to a pulsating 61-60 victory over Huskies. Salcedo finished with 17 points as Falcons pulled down its second win in as many games.
Armando de Jesus exploded for 30 points to help Lions overcome Mambas, 79-68. Lions improved to 2-0 win-lose record, while Mambas fell to 0-2 card.
In the other games, Cheetahs beat the Rhinos, 76-60; Eagles defeated the Sharks, 74-64; and Rams clobbered the Goats, 77-58. (RSC)
