7 Cebuanos invited to RP training pool

SEVEN Cebuano booters have been invited to the RP Under-14 training pool for a chance to represent the country in an upcoming international event in April.

Don Bosco Technology Center’s Roygbiv Barro, Kyle Adrian Ronquillo and Mark Uriel Unabia; University of Southern Philippines-Foundation’s Marcel Ivan Ouano and Loyd Soco; Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu’s Leo Gabriel Maquiling and Don Bosco Boy’s Home’s Jessie Reil Semblante have all been requested to join a 16-day training camp on March 16 to 31 at the University of the Philippines in Los Baños, Laguna.

2 champions to be crowned tomorrow

Escalante demolishes Trejo in US

US-based Cebuano Bruno Escalante didn't break a sweat as he handily demolished battle-scarred veteran Lorenzo Trejo last Saturday at the Fox Theater in Redwood City.

Escalante, a native of Sibonga, caught Trejo with a combination to the body and head that floored the 36-year-old Mexican in the opening round.
