SEN. Panfilo Lacson, in a privilege speech which he entitled “Ang Dalawang Mukha ng Sining,” said-- “God save the Philippines from Joseph Ejercito alias Joseph Estrada!”
You and I saw him on TV. Lacson squealing on Estrada, I fell off my chair.
Things are developing in such a manner as never before seen in politics---whistleblowers (true or false) are coming out like rich sprouts after a drought; and not through years but in just a few months.
For updates from around the country, follow Sun.Star on Twitter
Who would ever imagine Lacson telling on Estrada, long after Chavit Singson told on Estrada, too?
And the Estrada son, Jinggoy, is saying about Lacson, "I feel sorry for Sen. Lacson for submitting himself to become part of an effort to further destroy the image of President Erap. If all his allegations were true and that he is a man of principle, why did he only speak now?"
Lacson’s “political consultant” in turn said Lacson could prove Jinggoy Estrada was into jueteng, too; like father, like son.
But at this interview, the consultant didn’t mention the hot news about Cezar Mancao II, former subordinate of Lacson during the Estrada administration, linking both Lacson and Estrada to the murders of Salvador “Bubby” Dacer and his driver.
In the Senate and the House that isn’t home to some who shouldn’t have been there in the first place, they’re telling on each other. It’s like the undesirable aspect of politics is, hopefully, blowing up on its own face.
Who would ever think the death of Cory Aquino would make her son Senator Noynoy run for the presidency? Cory died in a season of an election that is now rubbing off on her, poor soul. The opponents will visit her shortcomings as president, as part of the game.
Add to all these the recent Joey de Venecia-Dick Gordon tiff. Senate Blue Ribbon committee chair Gordon said on the floor, “When you come in as the son of the Speaker and you make (contract) offers to a government, that does not look good, at the very least. That is not a judgment; that is the law.”
Sen. Jamby Madrigal is making noise from her end, alleging that Sen. Manny Villar used his power to let an expressway pass through his land so it could earn payment for right of way from the government….
In a jab at GMA, Jamby asked if Mike Arroyo as FG means First Goon, First Gangster or First Gentleman.
And now from the wings, we’re just waiting for the confessions to fall in. Come to think of it, aren’t we in a special space in time when we are learning lessons? Would you call this a purging of sort?
The whole thing going on is leading to somewhere, hopefully, says a reflective friend.
There’s even a message in the Internet about a Filipina visionary to whom Mother Mary is said to have revealed who will lead the country in 2010, that there will be prosperity from 2011 to 2016 under this new president. Emma de Guzman in her annual retreats up the Mountain of Salvation in Batulao, Batangas prayed to Mary with Marian devotees.
The message passed around goes, “When asked what his (the winner of the presidential election) distinctive feature is, she (Emma) said ‘iyong noo.’ Some people are saying the visionary Emma means is Noynoy, with that kind of forehead.”
That was before Gilbert Teodoro was chosen as administration candidate.
Then somebody said, “Haven’t you noticed, Gilbert Teodoro has also that kind of noo!”
If Noynoy makes it, or his cousin Gibo, would you call it “destiny”?
