TOSHIBA has opened its first concept store in Cebu to further strengthen its presence and increase its retail market share in the Visayas.

Chia said the shopToshiba Concept Store will be a place where the company can showcase its products and offer after-sales service to customers.
“With the opening of this showroom and service center, people now have a convenient place where they can have their Toshiba laptops checked and upgraded,” said Joel Pe, president and chief executive officer of Silicon Valley, a distributor of Toshiba products.
The shopToshiba Concept Store-Cebu is the third concept store of Toshiba in the Philippines. The two other concept stores are located in SM Megamall and SM North Edsa in Luzon.
The concept store will showcase Toshiba’s notebook computers with several enhancements to its line of Qosmio, Satellite, Satellite Pro, Tecra, Protégé notebook computers.
Noting that Cebu market has grown tremendously over the past years, Pe hopes that with the new concept store, they would be able to tap more customers to purchase their products.
He also added that aside from the concept store in Cebu, four other concept stores are being planned in the rest of the country.
“Opening up a concept store is not easy. We first need to see if it is feasible. We always look at the factor of high traffic in a particular area,” he said.
Toshiba Corporation now has 315 major subsidiaries and affiliates worldwide since its inception in 1875. The Singapore based CSD is the regional headquarters for South and Southeast Asia.
