2 suspected illegal recruiters nabbed

TWO women, suspected to be illegal recruiters, were arrested in an entrapment operation lead by the police at the public terminal in Barangay New Pandan, Panabo City on Tuesday night.

The suspects are identified as Ruthsalyn Salva, 40, and Aude Salva 34, both residents of Melendrez Compound, Tagum City.

Based on reports from the Panabo City Police Station, after receiving a complaint from Lealyn Manggarnia, they launched an entrapment operation lead by Inspector Angelo Alampay against the suspects at around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Manggarnia said the suspects asked her for money in exchange for a job abroad. However, no jobs came for her.

The suspects and Manggarnia agreed to meet at the terminal where the victim was set to hand P1,500 for the processing of more documents.

The suspects were found in possession of P1,500 marked money and presently detained awaiting charges to be filed against them. (Marvin Pineda)
