KIDAPAWAN CITY -- At least 300 plainclothes men were fielded since Saturday at the venue of the first ever "solidarity reunion" of five Muslim provincial governors and more than a hundred mayors in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (Armm).
At the "solidarity reunion" set day, Armm officials will reaffirm their loyalty to the administration's Lakas-Kampi-Christian, Muslim Democrats party (CMD).

Also today, Monday, Armm Governor Datu Zaldy Ampatuan will deliver his state-of-the-region address (Sora) before members of the Regional Legislative Assembly (RLA) at the Armm Regional Complex in Cotabato City.
Chief Superintendent Paisal Umpa, director of the Armm police, said that aside from the 300 plainclothes men, they are also set to deploy additional 500 operatives around the area.
The Armm Complex, site of the regional operations of the Armm regional government, is about 32 hectares wide.
The additional police forces, according to Umpa, will ensure the safety of the local executives, foreign and national dignitaries attending the Sora.
The Army, on the other hand, will establish security checkpoints at the national highways linking the city to nearby Armm provinces, according to 6th Infantry Division spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Ponce.
During the Sora, Ampatuan will update his constituents on his accomplishments and socio-economic plans for the coming months.
Armm RLA Speaker Rejie Sahali-Generale said they are expecting the attendance of the Armm's five provincial governors and all of their more than 100 constituent-mayors.
Also among the invited guests are diplomats from embassies of Muslim countries and member-states of the European Union. (MCM)
