Visit Samal passports now available for free

VISIT Samal passports are now available for free at all travel agencies, Robinsons malls, and major ports in the country, Department of Tourism (DOT) Regional Director Art P. Boncato Jr. said.
He said the passport contains schedule of the calendar of activities for the three month long summer event.

"We have finished printing 100,000 copies and we have set up information centers in Cebu," Boncato added.
He said a total of 27 participating beach resorts, inns and restaurants that are advertised in the passport, are offering variety of discount packages for visiting local and foreign tourists on the island.
These resorts include Hof Gorei Beach Resort, Paradise Island Park and Beach Resort, Pearl Farm, Punta del Sol Beach Resort, Marex Beach Resort, Chemas by the Sea, Golden Bay Beach Resort and Spa, Blue Jaz Resort and Water Park, Club Asiano Beach Resort, Captain Hook's Red Parrot Inn, Aznebo Grill and Restaurant, Rainbow Breeze Beach resort, Island Ridge Mountain Resort, Fernandez Beach resort, Mahan Garden Resort, Hagimit Falls, Mayumi Disney Sea Beach resort, Hi-5 Princess Island Tropical Inland Resort, Camp Holiday Resort and Recreation Area, Blue Water Village and Resort, Sea Grass Beach resort, Ilihan Beach Resort, Precious Garden of Samal, Florenda’s Beach Resort, Maxima Beach Aqua Fun, Ato ni Bay Hotel Reservation Service – Travel and Tours, Wind and Wave DAvao, Pasalubong Center and Carnation Travel and Tour.
Additional attractions, like the Coral Garden Dive Site, the Hagimit Falls and the Monfort Bat Cave, are also featured in the passport.
An exciting raffle stub is attached at the back of the passport that can be used by customers to win gift certificates from the participating resorts and other businesses.
"Come and Experience our breathtaking yet exciting trails. Splurge in our shimmering clear water and white sand beaches," quoted from the welcome message of Mayor Aniano Antalan in the passport.
He also invites everyone to join the various summer festivities and affairs in the Island Garden City of Samal.
