Philmark sets marketing lectures in Davao, Tagum

THE Philippine Marketing Association Inc.-Davao (Philmark), a non-profit organization of marketing professionals, will hold a series of lectures in the cities of Davao and Tagum starting Friday.

As a part of the mid-year activity and annual planning, Philmark held its general membership assembly (GMM) Thursday night with chief marketing strategist of Mansmith and Fielders, Josiah Go as its guest of honor and speaker.

A symposium will also be held Friday, which serves as a forum for members to showcase their new products and services.


Mansmith and Fielders is a training corporation that has excelled in the corporate world. Go also authored marketing books that are now being used in universities all over the country.

Go was scheduled to talk about his latest book entitled "Marketing Innovations" to the marketing professionals during Philmark's GMM at the Marco Polo Hotel Thursday night.

The Philmark lecture series 2011 will be held today for both Davao and Tagum City.

The Davao City leg of the session will be held at the Victoria Plaza Mall's cinema 4 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, while the Davao del Norte session will be held at the St. Mary's College Gym from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

"We have been the trailblazer for real time video conference and this year we might do a local video conference at the Victoria Cinemas because we are expecting three thousand students to attend," said Dolly Marques, president of Philmark.

The two other lecturers will be Pochollo Gonzales and James Hao that will be talking about different marketing strategies to the participants.
Philmark on its emerald year will be having their 3rd Mindanao Marketing Expo at the Abreeza Mall on August 4-7.
