Armscor presents Caracal pistol

THE Armscor Shooting Center Inc. Davao takes pride in its array of quality firearm and ammunition products.

Ever since the Davao City branch of the gun manufacturing company Arms Corporation of the Philippines opened business in 2006, it has provided the Mindanao market with competitive firearms and ammunition that earned rave reviews from its clients and dealers in the region.

In line with its commitment to bring quality products in this part of the land, Arsmcor Davao presents the newest in the market -- the Caracal polymer pistol series which starts with an all-new semi-automatic 9mm pistol.

Armscor-Davao mamager Laura A. Gumban said the Caracal pistol is made in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and comes in two different sizes, the compact and full size.

But Gumban swears that one of the special features of Caracal handgun is its "Quick Sight" system that provides more accuracy for the shooter under pressure. Caracal has a suggested retail price of P33,000.

The Caracal pistol was launched in July of 2011 in a gun show in Manila and was immediately available in all Armscor centers, including Davao.

Gumban said acquiring and selling quality pistols like Caracal is part of their commitment to serve customers in a fast growing city like Davao.

"As Davao improves, we also have to improve," Gumban said.

Aside from Caracal, Armscor Davao is also the exclusive distributor of Italian-made Tanfoglio pistols. The center also sells Armscor firearms, ammunition and spare parts, other products like Birchwoods Casey, Force 21 tactical gear, Sabre stun gun and pepper spray, imported STI and FAB defense pistol and rifle accessories.

The Armscor Shooting Center Inc. Davao, located at 3-A Bajada Plaza Bldg., J.P. Laurel Avenue, Davao City, also offers reloading services on caliber .45, .40, 9mm, .38 spl and .38 spr.

In Armscor, the manufacturing of its firearms involves precision investment casting using ordnance steel; the exacting accuracy of Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) machinery; and craftsmanship.

Quality and craftsmanship have been the keystones of a long standing tradition in the owners -- the Tuason family -- who for over three generations have been involved in the manufacture of firearms and ammunition.

Gumban said that back in 2005, Armscor opened its center in Cebu City to cater to the Visayas market, and subsequently established the Davao City center in 2006 for the Mindanao market.
