MAKATI -- Sutherland Global Services Philippines was recently elevated to the Philippine Economic Zone Authority Hall of Fame by President Benigno Aquino III at the Peza Investors' Recognition Night held recently at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
The Hall of Fame elevation was a fitting climax to Sutherland winning its third "Outstanding Employer Award" last year and is a true reflection of this multinational company's consistent innovation of employee best practices spanning its global operational network.
In the past seven years, Sutherland has grown from 150 employees and one location into to a world-class workforce of over 1,3000 professionals deployed across eight locations -- a growth of over 8600 percent.
Sutherland's growth in the Philippines is combination of the capability of the talent-base and quality of the career that the company offers. Committed to being an Employer of Choice in all geographies where the company operates, Sutherland consistently implements enlightened and innovative policies and programs to nurture the growth and satisfaction of their most valued asset--their people.
Peza Director General Lilia de Lima said: "The success of Sutherland Global Services in the Philippines is a shining example of a global leader being totally committed to building a lasting partnership with our country and community. The elevation into the Peza Hall of Fame is both a recognition and tribute to Sutherland's pioneering vision as well as their enlightened employee practices."
Sutherland chair and CEO Dilip Vellodi congratulated his Philippines management team for the firm's accomplishment.
"This Hall of Fame elevation is a tribute to our dedicated employees and management team in the Philippines, and reflects Sutherland's commitment to enlightened and innovative People policies and programs across the globe," Vellodi said.
