THE Davao City Investment and Promotion Center (DCIP) on Wednesday announced that the city will hold the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Week from July 9 to 13, as part of its initiative to promote the entrepreneurship of the local MSMEs.
The City Government of Davao's partner in this initiative is the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (DCCCII), which also chairs the week-long celebration along with Davao City Mayor Sara Z. Duterte-Carpio.
DCIP chief Jason Magnaye, speaking in Wednesday's Club 888 Forum at the Marco Polo Hotel Davao, said they have lined up several activities geared towards promoting and uplifting the local MSMEs.

Among the banks which have already committed are Development Bank of Philippines (DBP), Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP), Enterprise Bank, Inc, and Small Business Finance Corporation.
"Our target for the financing forum is more than a hundred," Magnaye said.
For the second day, July 10, the activities will include Techno-Demo on scented decorative candle making, knowing your currency and food safety seminar.
From July 10 to 12, the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (Cenro) will conduct a seminar on solid waste management to MSMEs.
