Cellphone directory now in Davao

THE first-ever cellphone number directory in the country is now in Davao City with the innovators eyeing to reach hundreds of thousands of Dabawenyos with the new technology by connecting mobile users in Davao in one directory and through the Internet.

Ismael D. Tabije, Davao managing partner of Cellphone Directories Philippines (CDP), said one of their thrusts to Dabawenyos is to link all individuals, businesses, and government offices with their respective mobile phone numbers.

"Our commitment here is to connect everyone to their clients, constituents and relatives in a very convenient way," Tabije said.

He said that since almost everyone has a mobile phone these days, being visible to other people is an important aspect.

In cases of individuals who have relatives abroad or businesses who like to be visible to their clients, CDP offers best solution for that, according to Tabije.

CDP is also considering of including cellphone numbers of public servants like barangay captains and councilors for public's convenient reference.

On top of the cellphone number directories, CDP also offers advertising packages for interested clients at a very reason prices.

One of the benefits of advertising with CDP, Tabije said, is that all of their clients' ads will be featured in their directory and which will be circulated the whole year.

Tabije said CDP-Davao is set to publish its first directory in the fourth quarter of this year, printing 100,000 copies which will be circulated across the 182 barangays of Davao City.
