DMC Urban Property Developers Inc. (DMC-UPDI) is all set to build a new high-rise condominium composed of two buildings in Davao City.
Engr. Leonora Gutierrez, director for sales, marketing, and customer care of the DMC-UPDI, said the new condominium project will be erected in a two-hectare lot near SM City in Ecoland, Davao City.
The condominium, Gutierrez said, will be comprised of two high-rise buildings and, based on initial plans, will have at least 27 floors each.
The twin building will have spacious area in-between where a basketball court, a swimming pool, and a playground will be also be put up.
Gutierrez said other centralized amenities will take place in this area.
She added that the area between the twin buildings will house commercial spaces. The condominium will also have commercial strips which will occupy at least 6,000 square meters of the two-hectare land.
"The buildings are not closely positioned to allow air space. The amenity area will also house our new office because our current office is already packed," Gutierrez told Sun.Star Davao.
She said the company is earmarking around P2 billion for the condo, which is expected to have its groundbreaking ceremony before the end of the year.
For this high-rise condominium, the firm is eyeing middle-end to high-end market. Gutierrez, however, said they are not mostly into the high-end or elite market considering the need of the bigger market of having a shelter.
DMC-UPDI also plans to build three to four condominium projects in the next five years. The firm has already around 30 housing projects all over Metro Manila.
Gutierrez said they are not only bent on developing high-rise projects in the coming years but also economic residential housing in the city.
"We also plan to develop in the outskirts in Davao City," she said.
Gutierrez said it's not anymore difficult for them to look for areas for their next projects since they have already identified places waiting to be developed.
"Our vision is to remain in the frontline in the ultimate urban living in Davao City," Gutierrez said.
Construction of the condominium will start next year and will be completed in five to six years time.
