Blugre SM Lanang Premier branch slated for opening

HOMEGROWN coffee shop Blugre Cofee is all set to stage the grand opening of its fourth branch in Davao City on October 10 at the Sky Garden of the newly-opened SM Lanang Premier.

Joanne Siy, vice president for operations and franchise of Blugre, said its newest branch will have a bigger area of about 80 square meters with 54 seats to cater more customers and for them to enjoy coffee experience while inside.

Siy said that as part of its commitment for expansion, customers can expect of the same quality coffee in SM Lanang just like what the other branches offer.

"We make sure we have the standard taste to all out branches," she said.

Siy said Blugre Cofee will also launch a new product right in the opening of the enw branch. She said this product is a popular delicacy in Singapore, but patterned and innovated to best fit the palate of the Dabawenyos.

She said the firm has many expansion plans, both within and outside the country. Blugre has also forged a partnership with Manny Pacquiao to begin venture in General Santos City where they planned to put up two coffee shops.

Siy added that there are many offers from the other key cities in Mindanao to open up a branch, especially in Tagum City, Cagayan de Oro City, Cebu City, Metro Manila and Zamboanga City.

"Right now, our thrust is we want to open gradually," she said.

Blugre is also accepting franchising offers, but Siy said doing it entails a very tedious process as this also involves the location of the store and the store itself.

The firm is also expanding abroad with two more branches are being planned to be opened in Singapore by next year.

Siy said they will push through with the plan, only that they need more time to learn more about franchising scheme as this not an overnight work.

"Our edge is we have the best coffee in town and we want to educate people what is the best coffee," Siy said.

Blugre is one of the participants in the three-day 7th Mindanao Franchising Expo at the Gaisano Mall of Davao on October 6 to 8.

Siy said they are not expecting to gather more prospect clients in the franchising expo, but rather to create awareness the Blugre is accepting franchise.

"In an expo like this, out of 100 inquiries, there are 10 hot leads. Out of the hot leads, only one will push through," she said.
