ANOTHER first outside of Metro Manila will soon open in Davao City, at the Abreeza malls.
The mall management recently signed up with Yakimix, a popular chain of Japanese buffet restaurants in Metro Manila that offers not only Japanese dishes, but other Asian cuisines as well.
"We recently signed up (with Yakimix) and we are just waiting for them to start the construction," Luigi Escano, Abreeza Mall operations manager, said.
Called the Yakimix (Sushi, Smokeless Grill Restaurant), it will occupy a 500 square meter area at the second level of the mall.
Yakimix is basically a buffet restaurant that offers both ready-to-eat food and wide array of raw items for diners to cook on their table. It is one of the fastest growing chains in Metro Manila.
Escano said Yakimix is just among several stores that are set to open at the mall before the year ends or early next year.
Also to open its first branch in Mindanao, according to Escano, is the Highlands Coffee, a chain of Vietnamese coffee shops that started in Hanoi, Vietnam in 1998. Its first store in the Philippines opened in Metro Manila in March 2012.
Another concept store, Mizuno will also open soon at the mall, Escano said. Mizuno is a popular Japanese brand of sports apparels, shoes and accessories.
Although these stores have yet to open, Escano said Abreeza is now 97 percent occupied.
"We are almost fully occupied," he said.
