JOLLIBEE, the country's number one fast food chain, opens Monday its two-storey Jollibee Matina Town Square (MTS) branch, the firm's 18th store in Davao City.
Dabawenyos, young and old who can't get enough of the iconic fastfood chain's best-selling Chickenjoy and other all-time favorites like Jollibee spaghetti and Yumburgers, are expected to flock to the site as soon as it opens its doors at 6 a.m.
Open daily for 24 hours, Jollibee Matina Town Square also has a drive-thru service facility so people can get their langhap-sarap fix even while on the go. Jollibee MTS also features one of the newest and modern design concepts and is one of the biggest stores in Davao City.
Last Friday, Davao City Councilor Edgar Ibuyan, representing Vice Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte, and Jollibee vice president and Mindanao regional business unit head Ana Aluyen, led the branch's simple but meaningful blessing and inauguration ceremonies.
"Certainly, all the Davaoe¤os share this success with you, and I can only say that the birth of this 18th branch is one of the most distinct manifestations of our city's rapid growth," Duterte said in his message read by Ibuyan, also taking note of how Jollibee continues to provide employment opportunities in the city, specially the youth.
And just like every Jollibee store that is regarded as every Filipino family's happy second home, Jollibee MTS is sure to become another favorite bonding destination. As Jollibee Mindanao regional marketing officer Nelson Judaya puts it, "we make sure that people will be happy everytime they dine at Jollibee."
Judaya said Jollibee MTS has 65 employees. The store, located just in front of the Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) Matina campus, has a capacity of 280 customers.
Judaya said all the Jollibee products are available in the MTS branch, including the all-time favorite of Filipinos Chicken Joy and the mouth-watering burgers.
He assured that all of the products that come out of the kitchen are of top quality and that customers who come to their place will always go home satisfied.
At the same time, Judaya thanked their Davao customers "for making Jollibee number one here."
Aluyen also thanked all their patrons and supporters during the short program prceeding the blessing rites officiated by Fr. Ricky Montero.
"This is not going to be the last store that we are going to open here," said Aluyen, who revealed that Jollibee sold 22 million burgers in Davao City alone last year.
Indeed, there are more Jollibee stores to be opened. Next week, Jollibee is set to open its Calinan branch, it's 19th store in Davao City.
