MCDONALD'S Philippines is all fired up and ready to ignite the first and biggest breakfast event in the southeast region: the National Breakfast Day.
On March 18, Dabawenyos will have more reason to take part in the celebration as McDonald's stores located in Sta. Ana, Bajada, Ilustre, Damosa and Matina will be serving a free McMuffin to each restaurant's first 1,000 customers from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. via dine-in, take-out and drive-thru.
The McMuffin is the food giant's appetizing and filling breakfast sandwich made with lightly grilled Canadian bacon, freshly cracked Grade A egg, and melty American-style cheese all stuffed in between warm English Muffins toasted to perfection.
"The iconic and well-loved McMuffin is the perfect breakfast food for people who live on-the-go and prefer a no-fuss, handheld meal," said Cholo Perreras, McDonald's product manager.
"With National Breakfast Day, we are taking our 'Hooray for Today' campaign to a new level by giving Filipinos an opportunity to taste just how good breakfast at McDonald's really is," McDonald's president and CEO Kennth Yang said in a press statement.
McDonald's Philippines, along with 5,000 other McDonald's stores all over Asia, Middle East, and South Africa, will be giving away over a total of five million of their iconic product, the McMuffin, in celebration of the milestone.
