OUT-PATIENT pharmacy MedExpress Drugstore opened its first branch outside of Metro Manila at the Davao Doctors Hospital (DDH) last October 9, offering delivery service and price match guarantee.
DDH president and chief executive officer Raymund Cho Santos del Val, in an interview with Sun.Star Davao, said that through the price guarantee match program of MedExpress, costumers are assured of affordable medicines.
"If you buy medicine from the pharmacy and then you found out that our medicine is much more expensive, we will re-imburse you," del Val vowed.
Aside from that, the pharmacy also offers a delivery service for patients who have maintenance medicines.
Del Val said that the pharmacy will get the contact and medication details from the patient and they will follow-up on them through call center when the prescription nears its end. They can then deliver it to the patient or they could just pick it up at the pharmacy.
MedExpress president and general manager Robert Lim said that aside from the contact details they will also keep record of the patients' medical records for the patients' safety. He said that this will allow them to know what medications the patient can avoid in the near future.
Lim also said they are the only one who provides professional pharmacy services to patients.
"The pharmacist will tell you what the medicine is, what it is for, what to expect from it, and what to avoid," he said.
Aside from cheaper prices, they also provide promos to their customers like 30 percent off on certain drugs and a buy five, one free promo.
"This is one way for us in reaching out to the community. It changes the landscape in terms of using medicine," said del Val.
MedExpress Drugstore is also present at the Makati Medical Center, St. Luke's Medical Center, Manila Doctors Hospital, Capitol Medical Center, Mary Mediatrix Medical Center, and Perpetual Help Medical Center. They will be opening at Cebu Doctors Hospital in Cebu City and Riverside Medical Center in Bacolod City.
