METROPOLITAN Bank & Trust Company (Metrobank) is set to open three more branches in Davao Region before 2013 ends as it has strengthened its presence in Mindanao.
On December 13, Metrobank opened its newest branch in Surigao City, at Surigao Gaisano Mall, and another branch is set to open in Tandag, Surigao del Sur on December 26.
The new Davao branches are also set to open on December 26 at Bangoy Chinatown and Gaisano Mall of Davao, and in Apokon, Tagum CIty on December 27.
The new branches will add up to Metrobank's consolidated network of over 830 branches and 1900 ATMs nationwide.
Metrobank sees high economic potential in Mindanao, as long-term programs for social and economic development are already in place in the region.
The favorable economic condition provides more opportunities for rural enterprises to flourish in a competitive market.
With these new branches, Metrobank will be able to better support Mindanao's economic progress and give the Davao and Surigao banking public full access to the financial services they need. This is pursuant to the bank's long-standing goal of bringing its products and services closer to its clients.
Metrobank is the country's premier universal bank with an extensive consolidated network that spans over 830 branches and 1,900 automated teller machines (ATMs) nationwide, and 34 foreign branches, subsidiaries and representative offices.
