Globe moves to new office-A A +A

THE new office of Globe Telecom Davao at the Abreeza Corporate Center takes pride as being the first regional office in the country to be designed after the telecom's main headquarters in Bonifacio Global City, the Globe Tower.
"Two years ago, we had a vision of having happy and satisfied employees and customers. That vision is coming to realization today by improving the network and the first place we wanted to improve was Davao," said Globe executive vice president Renato M. Jiao in his welcome remarks during the blessing of the new regional office.
He added they also want to make sure they are developing right culture of empowerment and engagement among their employees.
"Davao was the first place where we tested transformation. So it is nice to come full circle and come to the new office because this is the most important piece of transformation," said Alberto M. de Larrazabal, Globe chief financial officer.
The new regional office makes use of the open office concept to foster greater collaboration and transparency.
"Each department and team are seated together in a cluster to allow constant exchange of information," Globe Telecom regional human resource business partner Llewlyn Muriel A. Del Rosario said during a tour of the media at the office.
De Larrazabal said he hopes the open office concept sends a strong statement that in what they do however large or small they are equally important in having a role to play in making the company grow.
The office features a huddle room for visitors, breakout room that features a pantry and vending machine, training rooms, and a conference room.
The regional office is equipped with ergonomically-designed Herman Miller office furniture and data communication equipment that ensures up to 100 Mbps of download speed. It is also aligned with the Leadership in Energy and Environment Design standards and a green building rating system from the United States Green Building Council.
Employees are able to perform in-house and outbound communication like online meetings and data sharing through the use of Google business solutions and tools.
"The new building today is our testament to Davao and, likewise, to our employees," Jiao said.
