THE much-awaited construction of the fourth tower of the landmark condo development Northpoint will commence after a ceremonial kickoff tomorrow.

"We're pleased to announce that we shall start building Liverpool, the fourth and greenest tower of Northpoint," said Marlon B. Escalicas, Camella Southern Mindanao Cluster head.

Escalicas said Northpoint is the greenest condo community in the city and in Mindanao, built to principles of green architecture that is beneficial to its inhabitants and the environment. Liverpool will be the greenest of all four buildings, having a special feature called the Sky Gardens.

The Sky Gardens will look like three wide openings on the facade of the building that will allow the entry and exit of cool air into the structure. It will help cool the building and facilitate the free flow of air into the hallways and stairwell of Liverpool, giving it excellent indoor air quality.

This special feature will also allow natural light to enter the building, illuminating its indoor and lessening the need for artificial lighting during the day. The light and airy atmosphere will emanate throughout the building, giving the residents a cool and comfortable indoor environment.

The Sky Gardens will also be adorned with live plants to give it a real garden setting, but at several storeys high. It's like bringing the lush outdoor of Northpoint into Liverpool, so that those located at the higher floors also get to experience a verdant environment without going down to ground level.

"Liverpool residents will benefit from its natural ventilation and lighting. These are just some of the advantages of Northpoint over other condo developments in the region, making it the most desirable condo community in this part of Mindanao," said Escalicas.

The construction kickoff on Saturday will start with a Holy Mass at 9:30 a.m. followed by a ceremonial excavation and dropping of coins. It will be a whole day affair with Northpoint having an Open House and a Buyers Day that will have special discounts, promos, and outright discounts that can go as high as P400,000.

Camella will also hold a summer cooler demo and has prepared entertainment for all the guests, including an art workshop for kids in the afternoon.

Expected guests are Camella officers and staff led by Escalicas, the general contractor, construction management, suppliers, property management staff, Camella's sales networks, and Northpoint residents.

Northpoint is a British colonial themed condo development in Davao of Vista Residences, the vertical marketing arm of the country's largest homebuilder, Vista Land & Lifescapes where Camella is also a subsidiary.
