THE Google Business Group-Davao (GBG-Davao) is set to launch its Google Business Training Series slated on June 11, 2014 at the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) of the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (DCCCII).
GBG-Davao community manager Dulce Rose Lada, who was a guest in Wednesday's Club 888 forum at the Marco Polo Hotel Davao, said the training sessions are designed for business owners and professionals who are interested to learn how to take advantage of technology for their businesses and professions.
In a press briefer, the training series "aim to connect, inform, and inspire the Davao Community to help spur innovation and business growth through the formation of a digital strategy with tools like Analytics, Youtube, Adwords, and Adsense."
A total of 25 slots are up for grabs for entrepreneurs and other professionals who want to avail of the free sessions.
The series will be held at The Cube of the SBDC at DCCCII every Wednesday from June 11 to July 30, 2014 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Angel Abella, GBG-Davao co-manager, said the series will comprise of the following workshop sessions: "Building Your Web Presence", "Make Your Business Social", "Advertise on the Web", and "Work Better, Together".
Building Your Web Presence (June 11 and 18) will be discussed by Abella and will be talking about the usage of Google Tools to make one's business more successful online. Switotwin Digital Storytelling Philippines' Glorypearl Dy will be discussing on giving one's business a home online and building relationships with customers through social media on June 25 and July 2 in the "Make Your Business Social" session.
Lada will be the speaker for the "Advertise on the Web" session, slated on July 9 and 16.
Carve's Tom Secuya will be discussing on the usage of various applications that will help participants be more productive from anywhere with online email, calendar, and docs in the "Work Better, Together" session on July 23 and 30.
Lada said there are only limited slots for the free training sessions.
