HOMEGROWN developer Jenson Land and Realty Corp. (JLRC) announced it will expand its major pioneering real estate project in Davao City, the Villa Señorita, in Barangay Langub next year.

Fernando Bajada, project manager of Villa Señorita, speaking in Fast Friday's at SM Lanang Premier, said the project is comprised of 440 lots, of which 216 housing units have already been built.

Each unit is sold from P2 million to P3 million in a community that has a perimeter fence, basketball court, and tennis court.

Villa Señorita is a medium-end housing project that was started in 2012.

With the proposed expansion, investments will go up to P1 billion. For the phase 2, a total of 175 units more will be constructed, with houses ranging from P4 million to P5 million each.

"We're trying to innovate our design to compete and be at par with Manila developers," he said of the tight competition with other giant developers who started coming to the city.

All units at Villa Señorita are a mix of Filipino and Mediterranean designs.

Also, the developer is planning to expand in General Santos City and Cagayan de Oro City, with a target groundbreaking next year. (ALC)
